Shailene Woodley Shares Shocking Reaction to Trump Shooting
'Descendants' star's progressive circle bared its fangs over the news
Celebrities learn the downside of social media sooner or later.
The wrong post. The wrong opinion. The right post at the wrong time.
You never know what will infuriate a small-to-modest part of Digital Nation. And, rather than feed the trolls, it’s often best to ignore it.
That’s what actress Shailene Woodley tried when a simple, heartfelt message turned into a wave of hate. The actress reposted a message from former First Lady Melania Trump reacting to the July 13 assassination attempt on her husband, Donald Trump.
“A monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine attempted to ring out Donald’s passion—his laughter, ingenuity, love of music and inspiration … The core facets of my husband’s life—his human side—were buried below the political machine. Donald, the generous and caring man who I have been with through the best of times and the worst of times.”
Woodley got a cyber-earful after that decision.
The starlet bemoaned how social media works to Bustle magazine. She also suggested she might step away from it down the short road. It’s the other reaction to the events in question that left a larger mark on her.
Woodley shared how her friend circle reacted to the news that a would-be assassin tried to kill Trump during a campaign rally.
Trump lived, raising his fist in dramatic fashion as blood smeared his face.
Here’s Woodley describing how her inner circle – “friends, colleagues, progressive, very intelligent thinkers, shakers and movers” – reacted to the news.
“He missed! F***ing assassin missed! Maybe it was a setup. Maybe it was a conspiracy.” I was going, “Have we forgotten that two human lives were taken?” Two people died. That is sad. That is devastating. I could not understand how people were speaking about something with such passion for death.”
Only one person died that day – Pa. resident Corey Comperatore. Otherwise, her analysis is both spot on and sad.
It’s hardly unexpected.
Too many progressives greeted the news that Trump survived the assassination with a mixture of sadness and conspiracy mongering. Rosie O’Donnell insisted, without evidence, that Trump wasn’t actually hit by a bullet that day.
Actor John Leguizamo shared an older photograph of Trump’s ear insisting he hadn’t been hit at all.
And, for years, Hollywood progressives have been pining for Trump’s death in one way or another.
Shailene Woodley IS AN ILLUMINATI PUPPET. That’s how a mid level attractive , below mid level talent IS THE STAR of an entire franchise. So yeah, she’s right that she doesn’t really know her friends., what they have her out her DOING which right wingers who typically only skim the surface of many issues, should cause you to NOT extoll her “virtues”.
IF YOU GOOGLE “SHAILENE WOODLEY THINKS MASTURBATION SHOULD BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOL”. , you see an Illuminati sell out desperate for the attn of the folks who run this biz who are pushing sex on children as a priority. Masturbation is literally the ONE THING you don’t have to “teach” anyone. . These are the words she was MADE to say.

Inside every peaceful, caring, inclusive and tolerant liberal is a hypocritical, arrogant, racist, psychotic, murderous authoritarian tyrant screaming to get out.
Give them half a chance and they will not disappoint on this.
“I could not understand how people were speaking about something with such passion for death.”
Altruism/Collectivism/Statism IS a philosophy of death. As the 20th Century bard put it:
“They do not want to own your fortune, they want you to lose it; they do not want to succeed, they want you to fail; they do not want to live, they want you to die; they desire nothing, they hate existence, and they keep running, each trying not to learn that the object of his hatred is himself . . . . They are the essence of evil, they, those anti-living objects who seek, by devouring the world, to fill the selfless zero of their soul. It is not your wealth that they’re after. Theirs is a conspiracy against the mind, which means: against life and man.”
Um 2 people did die that day, Corey Comperatore and the attempted assassin
I don’t count the assassin, but technically you’re right.
To be accurate, 2 people died.
I will make an observation, having lived before social media and email were created, and then after. People, in general, will write things on social media they would not say to the face of the person they write about. Before social media, one had to think hard whether their comment was worthy of sharing. A former boss told me once to think on something overnight; it I’m still as passionate the next day, then come tell me.
Rob Schneider made a great comment in his interview with Tucker that the first usages of the invention of the airplane was its use in bombing and warfare. He went on to say that social media is in a similar state of infancy and we’re seeing the ugly, initial usages of it’s invention. I think he made a great point.
Actually the airplane was used for the postal service. And then bombing.
US airmail started in 1918. The airplane had been used in war for 4 years by then.
Maybe someone sent a letter as a stunt prior to 1914, but there was no real air mail prior to the development of the airplane in ww1.
I did the Facebook thing for a few years. Haven’t touched it or any social media in 8 years. Nor will I ever again. It’s the devil’s playground.
I think Shailene is including the shooter in the death total of 2. In her way of thinking all deaths are tragic. Which can be understood, especially vis a vis the blood lust for Donald Trump in Hollywood.
I would share her perception that all deaths are tragic, if that was the aim of her statement. Then again, in a universe where God’s Will is always done, tragedy does not, in fact, exist.
Tragedy very definitely does exist in this world. God gave us free will and we control our own actions. Sometimes those actions lead to uplifting and inspiring things and sometime they lead to very tragic things. And since we all have free will, one person’s bad decisions can affect a lot of others bad or even tragic ways.
