Nick Searcy Reveals Ugly Truth Behind Sean Penn’s Jan. 6 Project
'Justified' alum details stark differences in Hollywood for liberals, conservatives

Imagine a blockbuster film about the Russian Collusion hoax.
We all know how the media and the Deep State, or however you wish to frame the latter, teamed up to suggest President Donald Trump won the 2016 election by colluding with the Russians.
It’s the ultimate Fake News, and a sordid tale that deserves a big-screen closeup.
Now, the story might not easily be told in just two hours, but it would make a political film for the ages. And we’ll never see it despite all the dramatic fireworks in play.
Why? Hollywood wouldn’t go near a project that tainted both the Legacy Media and Democrats. It’s that simple.
Yet not one but potentially two films will soon relive the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol. The upcoming “Social Reckoning” reportedly includes scenes recreating that tumultuous day. And, now, we’re learning that Sean Penn will direct a film about a D.C. police officer (Bradley Cooper) who fought back against violent MAGA supporters on Jan. 6.

A separate project tied to Jan. 6, to be directed by Billy Ray, appears stalled at the moment. That film, with the working title “J6,” had far-Left filmmaker Adam McKay attached as well.
Ray previously directed “The Comey Rule,” a two-part Showtime series that pretended that President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election.
That’s despite going into production while the collusion hoax was disintegrating in real time.
It’s shocking the latter has yet to materialize given the names tied to the project. It’s unlikely that it’ll get greenlit now, unless either “The Social Reckoning” or Penn’s project lights up the box office.
The Jan. 6 riots matter. And the topic is ripe for a theatrical retelling. That’s not the key takeaway, and veteran actor/director Nick Searcy spelled out the bigger picture on his X account.
You see, the left funds their propaganda, and is willing to lose millions of dollars to get their lies out in an attractive form. While conservative investors will not put their money up to make anything to counteract it. This is why we lose. https://t.co/Q6L0rHLGaa

Searcy isn’t wrong. Conservative filmmakers routinely fail to get their projects funded. Searcy knows this all too well. He’s helped some small, feisty documentaries get made, like “The War on Truth,” but he’s struggled to get other fictional films off the ground.
Kevin Sorbo had to create his own studio to tell his stories on his own terms. That came after Hollywood cast him aside for being a conservative Christian.
Searcy elaborated on his post in the replies, sharing the obstacles he’s faced as a filmmaker.
I scraped together $.50 to make a movie … And then they suppressed it and it didn’t get out there. They put millions and millions of dollars behind their projects, and they make sure it’s on every streaming platform.
He shared more about the economics in play.
Meanwhile, the Left churns out hundreds of flops that advance their ideology and a few hits finance them all.
Again, he has a point. Partisan films like “Truth” and “The Apprentice” flopped in theaters, but that didn’t stop studios from funding them despite their limited appeal.
It’s not always about show business. The industry wants to send a message that will linger longer than any one headline or news cycle. Searcy, an industry veteran who doesn’t hide his right-leaning views, knows that better than anyone.
Searcy is 100 percent right.
But maybe A.I. could be the great equalizer. Movies cost a lot of money to produce. A.I. could lower those costs significantly, so we wouldn’t need a big donor who doesn’t want to risk losing money.
I’m getting sick and tired of the January 6th narrative being shoved down my throat a lot. And Sean Penn is pure evil.
