These Stars Are Still on Team Platner (Really)

Horror maestro and 'View' partisan won't give up on scandal-ravaged candidate

Stephen King has written some pretty scary monsters in his day.

Cujo. Pennywise the clown. Christine.

None is as terrifying as Graham Platner. Why? The Maine senatorial candidate is all too real, and his scandals are so numerous you need a cheat sheet to remember them all.

Just know he sported a Nazi tattoo for 18 years. Not one drunken, remorseful night.

Eighteen years.

Now, with a second blast of shocking sexual abuse allegations surfacing against Platner, the pressure is on for him to step aside. Except King is still on Team Platner.

Sort of.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Except the horror guru may have had second thoughts. He took down his X posts defending Platner and hoping he stays in the race. Now, he’s semi-backpedaling.

If? What happened to the Left’s Believe All Women mantra?

King wants to have it both ways, of course. He still seems fine with Platner staying in the race. Any attempt to prove the rape occurred would likely take months in the court system, assuming the accuser follows that route.

And he’s got some company on “The View.”

Sunny Hostin, who supports banning Trump-friendly family members from Thanksgiving dinners, is still bitterly clinging to Platner.

Yes, a show dedicated to women features a host who shrugs off serial sexual abuse allegations against a Senatorial candidate (in addition to his treasure trove of other personal skeletons).

Why?

Orange Man Too Darn Bad.

“If I lived in Maine I would have plugged my nose and voted for him anyway. We are in a time of existential crisis in this country. The Republican Party, the bar is so very low.”

Let’s not forget the other part of the Hollywood equation. The industry rallied en masse to support the MeToo movement back in 2017. Then, when a few prominent Democrats were accused of extreme misbehavior, those stars and starlets went silent.

Alyssa Milano even deconstructed the “Believe All Women” mantra when Vice President Joe Biden was credibly accused of sexual assault.

And, sure enough, the MeToo movement died. This year, with shocking allegations against a fellow Democrat mounting, Hollywood’s MeToo warriors went back to silent mode.
