Megyn Kelly Roasts Kimmel with His Own Words

New Media superstar shames Kimmel's shoddy defense with receipts

Jimmy Kimmel is not a news anchor.

That may seem obvious, but in recent years, late-night types have turned their shows into MSNBC lite.

Just the facts, ma’am.

If only.

Hosts routinely twist the news, sometimes beyond recognition, employing a “clown nose on/off” defense. Still, when Kimmel suggested Charlie Kirk’s assassin was Grade-A MAGA, it landed badly.

You’re suspended until further notice badly.

Enter Megyn Kelly.

The New Media giant roasted Kimmel for his ghastly comments, which neither resembled a joke or reality. And she threw Kimmel’s own words back at him in the process.

As a reminder, here is what Kimmel said about the alleged shooter on the Sept. 15 edition of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

Is there a mirror in his ABC studio? Apparently not.

Kelly brought the matter up on her Sept. 19 edition of “The Megyn Kelly Show.” And she recalled another Kimmel imbroglio, this one involving NFL great Aaron Rodgers.

The Hall of Fame-bound quarterback insinuated Kimmel’s name is part of the infamous Epstein List. Kimmel shot back, and understandably so, given the complete lack of evidence pointing in that direction.

Along the way, Kimmel exposed himself in ways that would haunt him later.

“As far as the ‘you say things about people all the time’ argument goes, yes, I do. It’s not the same,” Kimmel said at the time. “We say a lot of things on this show. We don’t make up lies. In fact, we have a lot of people who work very hard to sift through facts and reputable sources before I make a joke, and that’s an important distinction.

“And when I do get something wrong, which happens on rare occasions, you know what I do? I apologize for it. Which is what Aaron Rodgers should do, which is what a decent person would do.”

That inspired a profanity-laced tirade from Kelly.

“He is what we would call in the law a f***ing liar,” she said. “He says he has a team of fact checkers that don’t allow him to say lies, and if he errs, he’ll go out there and apologize … but he was entirely wrong in trying to blame this shooting on MAGA … and he knew it.”

Surely, those ABC fact checkers knew what the rest of the country knew about the alleged killer, she argued. The killer’s mom revealed he had drifted to the Left in recent months. He had a trans partner and was into furry culture.

And Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed that the shooter in question “was driven by Leftist ideology” and the bullets had far-Left messaging on them.

“All of that spells ‘Leftist’ to anybody with eyes and ears and a brain,” Kelly said.

“[Kimmel] knew … it was an intentional lie,” she said, adding the host went back to work Tuesday night and refused to apologize. Instead, he trotted out more anti-Trump rhetoric without telling his audiences he had misled them.

Kelly swung back to Kimmel’s initial statements, which included attacking the way President Donald Trump has mourned Kirk, one of his biggest supporters.

“We’re in mourning, you f***ing a**hole. We’re not capitalizing on the death of Charlie Kirk,” she said.

Reports say that Kimmel has been repeatedly asked to apologize for his inaccurate comments. As of now, he refuses to do so.
