Michael Rapaport: I’m Sorry for Believing ‘Very Fine People’ Trump Lie

Liberal actor vows not to vote for Biden, Harris, still open to supporting Trump

Michael Rapaport won’t get fooled again.

The star of “Atypical,” “Beautiful Girls” and countless other projects has been one of Donald Trump’s biggest critics. Much of what the actor says about the former President can’t be spelled out here.

Lately, he’s starting to soften toward the combative leader. And that has plenty to do with today’s Democratic Party and the mainstream media.

Rapaport appeared on “The Patrick Bet-David Podcast” to discuss the political scene and more. The conversation touched on the infamous “Charlottesville Lie,” peddled by the press and, more significantly, President Joe Biden.

The lie?

President Trump referred to Nazis as “very fine people” in 2017 following a violent protest tied to a statue’s removal. He did no such thing, even though Biden launched his 2020 presidential campaign with the lie and the mainstream media promoted it.

Rapaport bought the lie, much like many Americans who still trust the press without question. Now, he realizes he was wrong.

The actor told Team PBD how he’s evolved in his thinking over the last few months.

Rapaport still loathes Trump’s demeanor, then and now.

“A lot of his policies while he was in office I liked … but the spillage, the messiness, the antagonistic behavior towards anybody, ANYBODY … once he feels betrayed or insulted it’s attack, attack attack in the most disrespectful way .. it’s not acceptable as a president,” Rapaport explained.

He then went back and forth with Bet-David and his co-hosts about Biden, Trump and politics in general. The exchange included the “very fine people” line, and what the actor said proved eye opening.

“When you see the full quote, that wasn’t what [Trump] said and I ranted on him hard for that, hard … I was like, ‘what are you talking about, man?'” Rapaport recalled.

Bet-David asked if Rapaport would still vote for Trump despite his unease with his boorish behavior.

Yes, he said.

One thing is clear. Rapaport won’t be voting for President Biden or, if he steps down given his declining mental health, Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I won’t vote for them. That’s not happening,” Rapaport said. That includes a possible Democratic replacement like California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“I just left California. I’m not going for Gavin with the good hair,” he cracked. “I’m not a sucker.”

  1. Rappaport like most all other Treasonous garbage from the Acting profession will lie about anything…after all speaking other peoples words is how they make a living…NOTHING is real until it bites em on the Ass!

  2. Trump is not boorish. He is trying to get his message out from the Main Street Media filtering that still exists today. Idiots like Michael Rapaport are a cancer.

    1. Trump is honest in saying what he thinks and believes. That’s called “Pure Honesty”. While all along, people like Clinton, Harris, and Biden, among others pretend to be something else but after the cameras are turned off they spew hatred. At least Trump lets you know who he is and what he stands for. You might disagree with his words but it is his honest words.

    2. Boorish-“rough and bad-mannered; coarse”, “boorish implies rudeness of manner due to insensitiveness to others’ feelings and unwillingness to be agreeable”

Like it or him or not, Trump is boorish. It does not mean he is not effective. He is very effective, even entertaining at times, but the man is boorish.

    3. Trump is boorish. Period. You can love his attitude or hate it. You can find it refreshing or even necessary given the tenor of the times. There’s no denying his demeanor is often boorish.

      1. You can thank Obama for elevating the discourse.

Obama on April 30, 2011, mocked Trump’s rumored White House run (which he’d been touting for more than 30 years) and ripped Trump’s pushing of the racist birther conspiracy theory with a crack about releasing his official birth video — complete with a clip from Disney’s “The Lion King.”

“No one is happier, no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than the Donald,” Obama continued. “And that’s because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter, like: Did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?”

        And then history.

      2. And vulgar. He is a boorish vulgarian, intellectually and verbally lazy who happens to be correct on some policies.

      3. Donald trump is far from any of these things you claim him to be.you are obviously a very woke democrat with a heart and mind full of hatred.
In my opinion and and 3/4s of the world TRUMP 2024!!!

    4. Trump: “”There were very fine people on both sides, and I’m not talking about the Neo-nazis and white supremacists because they should be condemned totally.”

Article: “President Trump referred to Nazis as “very fine people” in 2017”

      I guess Nazi’s are different then neo-nazis?

I saw the statue protests discussed on CNN. They reported there were historical groups present that were protesting the removal of the confederate statues simply because they were historical…go figure! Then Trump makes his statement and CNN dropped the mentions of the historical groups and went full in that Trump was talking about Nazi’s. Sad…
