Jimmy Kimmel Has a China Problem. Again

The far-left host tries to trash Trump but ends up revealing his global ignorance

Jimmy Kimmel’s history on public apologies is hardly a secret.

The “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host once asked for the gay community’s forgiveness after aiming homophobic jokes at Fox News star Sean Hannity. The far-left Kimmel needn’t have bothered. Groups like GLAAD rarely take offense when the person in question hails from the Left.

The host lobbed a half-hearted apology at First Lady Melania Trump during the same Hannity dust-up. No women’s rights groups demanded anything of the sort. though.

Again, wrong political party.

Kimmel stared down a bigger problem in 2013, long before Cancel Culture became the scourge of comedy. The ABC host aired a bit where he quizzed a group of young children on ways America could reduce its debt.

“America owes China a lot of money, $1.3 trillion,” Kimmel told the children. “How should we pay them back?”

“Shoot cannons all the way over and kill everyone in China,” one boy said.

“Kill everyone in China? OK, that’s an interesting idea,” Kimmel said.He then posed the question: “Should we allow the Chinese to live?”

While one boy said, “No,” most of the children said, “Yes.”

“If we don’t allow them to live, then they’ll try to kill us,” a girl said.

“Well, this has been an interesting edition of Kid’s Table — The Lord of the Flies edition,” Kimmel said as the segment ended.

A number of Chinese-American groups railed against the segment, coaxing ABC to apologize. The network even erased the skit from future airings.

Kimmel similarly pleaded for viewers to forgive him … for joking along with children.

“I thought it was obvious that I didn’t agree with that statement, but apparently it wasn’t,” Kimmel said Monday. “So I just want to say I am sorry. I apologize. It was certainly not my intent to upset anyone.”

Seven years later, Kimmel is still groveling to China.

In March, Kimmel joined the absurd chorus of liberals blasting anyone, including President Donald Trump, who calls the Wuhan virus by its scientifically accurate name. The media used similar verbiage for weeks without Kimmel and co. saying a word.

More recently, Kimmel attacked Trump for suggesting CO-VID19 originated in a Chinese laboratory.

He is also pushing U.S. Intelligence to find evidence for this theory that the virus was accidentally released from a lab in Wuhan. That’s his new angle to feed the wingnuts, to treat this virus like it was a conspiracy of some kind … Tomorrow he’ll blame the Spanish flu on Antonio Banderas.

It’s a fine example why no one should get their news from today’s late night comics. Just this week we learned U.S. intelligence has the President’s back on the matter.

A majority of the U.S. Intelligence Community’s 17 spy agencies believe the coronavirus likely originated with an accidental lab escape from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, a senior intelligence official told the Washington Examiner.

We already know both China and the World Health Organization have some explaining to do regarding the virus’ origins and how it went worldwide. Kimmel has yet to speak “truth to power” about those ties, which could be connected to thousands, upon thousands of deaths.

Even the liberal Atlantic called China to task for its abhorrent behavior regarding the pandemic.

For now, Kimmel is doing all he can to please China while mocking the president, facts be darned.

  1. I don’t know if I believe the theory that this virus started in a lab. That said, the Chinese government has murdered and oppressed so many people that they make Adolf Hitler look like Mister Rogers. We don’t owe them a thing, not one single thing. And the fact that liberals are bending over backwards to defend the most evil, murderous dictatorship in all of human history is very telling.

    1. Here here. Maybe some of these individuals such as celebrities are afraid because if they acknowledge that Trump isn’t the most evil man in the world and point a finger elsewhere, suddenly they’ll be tarred and feathered with the same brush as anyone right of center. So perhaps they are motivated to continue singing the same song to stay in the good graces of the media and politicians.

In this day and age with hypertension everywhere, I think that many people’s POV had just pushed even further into what they were before this worldwide virus (myself included). My cousin recommended me to watch HBO’s “The Plot Against America” because she told me, in her own words, the President is, y’know, that genocidal maniac.

And I, an Orthodox Jew, have no idea how to respond. So far I’ve said nothing on the subject to her and I’m open to suggestions without losing my cool. I can’t find facts confirming a single anti-Semitic decree that Trump has put into order. Loudmouthed, bombastic, and not always accurate, I’ll concede. But I’ve yet to find valid proof that he’s suggested singling out Jews with contempt. If anything, he supports Israel, he supports freedom of religion and the Second Amendment; everything important to us. Mayor De Blasio, on the other hand, has some explaining to do….
