Howard Stern to ‘SNL’ – Leave Kamala Harris Alone!

Former free speech advocate begs show to ignore Democratic candidate

Howard Stern is in a race against himself. How fast can the radio legend tarnish his legacy?

Stern, 70, doesn’t resemble the pioneer who changed the face of radio. It’s like two different broadcasters.

This week, he proved there’s still a new low for the aging legend.

Stern interviewed Vice President Kamala Harris this week, part of her attempt to find the softest softball interviewers around. And Stern came to the top of the list along with “The View” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

His Harris chat, a little over an hour, let the presidential candidate speak without fact checks or challenging questions.

We expected that.

It’s why her campaign chose Stern. He’s a Useful Idiot of sorts much like his pal, Jimmy Kimmel.

One exchange, though, proved the very worst part of the chat.

Even the left-leaning Business Insider dubbed the moment “remarkable.” It likely wasn’t a compliment.

[Stern] doesn’t like seeing Harris being satirized on Saturday Night Live.

“I hate it. I don’t want you being made fun of,” Stern told Harris. “There’s too much at stake. I believe the entire future of this country right now… it’s literally on the line.”

Harris, no fan of free speech, actually stood up for the show.

The vice president, for her part, didn’t seem to mind. “It was funny,” Harris said of the most recent episode. “I am a huge fan of Maya Rudolph, so I think she’s put a lot of time into doing the piece and the character.”

The irony is clear on two fronts.

One, “SNL” has been cartoonishly pro-Democrat since President Barack Obama took office. The show ignored Harris for three-plus years through her various missteps and word salad speeches.

Yet the first two episodes of the show’s new season, number 50, have teased the candidate as well as her VP choice, Gov. Tim Walz.

Stern went from “F*** the FCC” to. “leave the Vice President alone” in the span of his career.

It’s hard to imagine he can sink much lower.

  1. Howard is a mere husk of the talent and man we all hoped he would become. If he was really talented, he would’ve stayed on terrestrial radio where the competition is fierce. It’s a lot easier to go to satellite radio and say whatever you want… However untrue it is.

  2. I honestly never understood the appeal of Howard Stern, and I still don’t. Invariably referred to as a Shock Jock, it always felt to me much more like Schlock Jock. To call what he has been extruding for 40 years puerile is an insult to the sophisticated discernment of little boys. At age 70 he still does not know what is genuinely funny, only what will get him an audience. His enduring success is living proof of the adage that no one ever went broke by underestimating the taste of the American public.

  3. Stern went from anti-establishment badass to bootlicking deep state lapdog. I think it happened when he became so fearful of getting FAUXvid

  4. Stern has always been a vulgar, lecherous creep who for decades has degraded women for cheap juvenile thrills.
Never liked him then. Like him even less now.

  5. Stern is a P Diddy party attendee. He is desperate for Harris to be in office who will keep the party list and Epstein island list secret. Stern I’m sure went to that island too. Trump arrested Epstein and Maxwell. Stern is desperate, when people find out what he has done they are going to demand justice.

  6. When Billy and Jackie left, there really was no reason to tune in anymore.
Plus the whole fun of the show was he would skirt the line on what he could say on the air. When he went Sirius he could say anything. Same with his wife and having all the temptation around but he couldnt touch it. Then he gets divorce and can have anyone.
Now he is woke and not even trying to be funny. How does Fred get up and go into work anymore?

  7. As with Neil Young, the counter-culture of old is now the establishment. Long live the new wave of radical right, i.e., common sense freedom.
