Here’s Only Excuse for Tim Dillon’s Insane Anti-Trump Rant
Rebel comic suggests president faked critical event from 2024 campaign

Even Robert De Niro didn’t go there.
But a growing list of celebrities and commentators have flirted with conspiracy theories surrounding the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump at a 2024 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Think Rosie O’Donnell and John Leguizamo, among others. They questioned the severity — and even the authenticity — of Trump’s injuries following the July 2024 rally shooting.
Now, comedian Tim Dillon is adding fuel to the fire.
Conspiracy Theories About the Butler Rally Resurface
The facts of the event remain clear:
- One attendee, Corey Comperatore, was killed
- Two others were injured
- The shooter, Thomas Matthew Cooke, was fatally shot by Secret Service
- Trump sustained a minor ear injury
Despite this, conspiracy theories continue to circulate online and in media spaces. Dillon’s recent comments will only make matters worse.
Tim Dillon’s Viral Podcast Comments
The controversy reignited after a recent episode of “The Tim Dillon Show,” where the comedian appeared to suggest — at least rhetorically — that Trump may have staged the attack.
“I don’t care if he staged the assassination attempt,” Dillon said, before adding that he would be “impressed” if Trump admitted to orchestrating it.

The comments quickly went viral, sparking backlash across social media and political commentary circles.
Dillon even joked about a hypothetical media appearance where Trump would explain the plot, going so far as to name check the Mossad among possible culprits.
Satire or Serious Claim?
Dillon is akin to the old Howard Stern, pushing comedy to the limits and often taking the opposing side of a seemingly sane issue. Dillon is adept at blending satire, shock humor and social commentary and it often works to his advantage.
You need a very thick skin to listen at times.
Or, Dillon has joined the growing list of podcasters who have, in an informal way of phrasing the matter, “lost it.”
The Rise of ‘Podcast Politics’
Dillon’s comments also highlight a broader trend: the growing influence of podcast personalities in shaping political narratives.
The 2024 election cycle was widely dubbed the “podcast election,” with hosts like Joe Rogan and Andrew Schulz using their platforms to weigh in on major issues — often without traditional journalistic vetting but with the trust of their passionate audiences.
Clicks, Controversy, and the New Media Landscape
Whether Dillon was joking, trolling, or making a broader point about media consumption, one thing is certain: the comments got attention.
In today’s algorithm-driven media environment, outrage often equals engagement — and engagement drives revenue. Just ask Candace Owens, the queen of misinformation, hate and Outrage 101.
Let’s hope Dillon isn’t following in her ignominious footsteps. For now, only Dillon knows where the bit ends and the belief begins.
And he’s not telling.
Editor’s Note: It’s a brutal time to be an independent journalist, but it’s never been more necessary given the sorry state of the corporate press. If you’re enjoying Hollywood in Toto, I hope you’ll consider leaving a coin (or two) in our Tip Jar.
Tim, like other talkies w/out morals and principles (think Elijah Schafer) is likely doing drugs again – I remember some comedy I heard from him years ago and while he was fast and funny, he was riding the line of saying anything for shock effect and being wildly contradictory in the process… smelled desperate. Not my style.
Does Tim Dillon really want to lose his audience that badly? Most of us knew the Butler assassination attempt was very real. This is the definition of the Woke Right.
Tim Dildo, Rogan, Smith, Von etc scratching their political itches are as obnoxious as the leftist tits in entertainment doing the same.
What is Toto’s excuse for writing about Tim Dillion?
