As a longtime reader, I have to say I disagree with the dour implications this article says, as if no more good movies are being made anymore… despite the fact Inside Out 2, Twisters and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice exist, sequels, yes, but still well made and devoid of “the message”
Not to mention much of the industry is slowly starting to realize the downside of this, it may have taken a while but better late than never
Maybe i’m just a toxic optimist, but i believe there is still hope Hollywood will return to the pure entertainment era we once knew, which I saw this movies as just that… pure entertainment, nothing to think deep about
