Trump Ends War, Artist Cancellations Continue

Pro-Israel singer David Draiman latest to face pro-Palestinian wrath

Hitler 2.0 has officially secured the release of all remaining hostages from Hamas terrorists.

President Donald Trump’s stunning achievement remains a work in progress. Trusting Hamas to keep the ceasefire isn’t easy. History proves it.

Still, the surviving hostages are being reunited with their loved ones, and a fragile peace is in place.

Tell that to David Draiman. The veteran rocker and lead singer of Disturbed had planned to perform in Belgium this week. That Oct. 15 concert has been canceled by the local mayor.

Why? Fear of pro-Palestinian protests, which could escalate into violence. It’s the Heckler’s Veto.

Again.

Except that wasn’t the only reason for the cancellation. The mayor in question, Charles Spapens, previously stood against the band’s planned concert. Draiman once signed an IDF bomb with the phrase, “F*** Hamas.”

“This is about a man who signed a bomb that was dropped on Gaza. We do not support the presence of this artist, and even less so his position on Gaza.”

Draiman is one of a microscopically small group of artists who are both pro-Israel and aggressively anti-Hamas. It’s shocking that more creators don’t fall in the latter group, at the very least.

The singer’s pro-Israel activism has made him a target, and he’s not alone.

Comic actor Michael Rapaport has been canceled not once but twice for his pro-Israel stance. Other Rapaport gigs have been targeted, but the protesters were unsuccessful in shutting them down.

Rapaport’s recent Denver appearance featured workers “wanding” patrons to ensure no weapons entered the comedy club.

Other Jewish performers, like Brett Gelman and Matisyahu, also have faced the pro-Palestinian movement’s wrath with canceled shows.

And, chances are, you haven’t read about it in the news.

Legacy Media outlets have been either slow or negligent in covering this attack on the arts. A story here, an article there, but rarely consistent, mainstream stories that connect these ugly dots. Rolling Stone covered the Disturbed concert cancellation without condemnation.

Compare that lack of reaction to the media outrage that ensued during late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s week-long suspension. Kimmel’s fellow artists also rose up to defend the far-Left host, but they won’t stand up for Draiman.

They haven’t defended Rapaport, Matisyahu or Gelman, either.

This reporter asked Rapaport why this was the case during his Oct. 9 appearance on “Ryan Schuiling Live” on 630 KHOW in Denver.

“Because they agree,” Rapaport bluntly said, noting that 3,900 artists recently signed a pledge not to work with any Israeli-aligned group.

Let’s hope the peace achieved this week is long-lasting. And that Hollywood’s newly christened free speech warriors start defending folks like Draiman the next time they’re canceled.
