CBS’s Colbert Spreads Even More Fake News

Jimmy Kimmel lied and got away with it.

Now, Kimmel had to sweat for a few days after ABC briefly suspended him for falsely accusing MAGA of killing conservative hero Charlie Kirk.

Kimmel returned a week later to endless media fawning and, for a spell, higher ratings.

Now, it’s Stephen Colbert’s turn.

The far-Left host uses “The Late Show” as a DNC pulpit, sometimes literally. Both he and Kimmel hosted President Joe Biden fundraisers last year before the elderly man bowed out of the race without admitting to his cognitive decline.

Colbert is trying to deflect the government shutdown blame from Democrats. He’s an activist, first and foremost, so it’s no longer his job to speak truth to power nor make us howl.

That’s not his prime directive.

So he attempted to call Vice President J.D. Vance a liar on last Thursday’s telecast. Why? Vance insists Democrats want illegal immigrants to get health care coverage.

Where would he get that idea?

“No one is proposing that. That’s not true, right, TV peoples?” Colbert said, cueing up far-Left talkers at CNN and MSNBC backing up his claim.

“Yeah. And if you’re just gonna completely make up stupid fearmongering arguments, at least make ’em fun! ‘Ladies and gentlemen, Democrats are spending trillions of dollars so they can Jurassic Park your children. It’s shocking. They’re going to trap your child in amber, suck out the baby blood, then turn your little child into T-rexes. The worst part is, the worst part, ladies and gentlemen: they’ll never be able to hug you.’”

If you can find a laugh in that rant, good luck. All those writers. So few actual jokes. Imagine the money being burned in the process.

If you don’t believe them, what about California Rep. Maxine Waters, a Democratic stalwart? The 87-year-old gave up the game last week, destroying Colbert’s argument in the process.

More importantly, this is why the Left and the Media, but we repeat ourselves, melted down over Kimmel’s suspension and Colbert’s slow-motion cancelation. They need late-night talkers to push partisan talking points and when required, spin the news to help Democrats.

Late-night liberals have lied about Portland violence, the Russian Collusion hoax,  the “very fine people” hoax and so much more. The media elites won’t fact check them. Entertainment news sites regurgitate their talking points uncritically.

And, if a late-night host isn’t sufficiently liberal, Legacy Media outlets will let them have it.

There’s no impetus for Colbert and co. to stop spreading Fake News. In fact, it’s rewarded.
