Michael Rapaport Shreds Michael Moore Over Pro-Palestinian Doc

'From Ground Zero' filmmaker calls Israeli counter-attack 'genocide'

Michael Moore hasn’t directed a film since 2018’s “Fahrenheit 11/9.”

The far-Left filmmaker spends his time opining on MSNBC, weighing in on world events via Substack and, on occasion, producing documentaries

Moore recently signed on to executive produce “From Ground Zero: Stories from Gaza,” a documentary taking the Palestinians’ side in the current Middle East conflict.

Moore hopes his name and dwindling cache help the film’s marketing efforts. The film currently sports a 95 percent “fresh” rating at RottenTomatoes.com.

The press release for the film, available in limited release now, finds Moore dubbing Israel’s counter-attack on Gaza as “genocide.” It’s a popular position on the modern Left, embraced by comedienne Michelle Wolf, among many others.

“These Palestinian filmmakers have accomplished a cinematic miracle. They have made a brilliant film in the midst of what Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have now declared a genocide. The only weapons that Rashid and these 22 courageous Palestinian directors in Gaza have are their cameras and their creativity. No filmmaker, writer, or artist should ever have to tell the story of their own extermination. It’s an honor to stand in solidarity with them and help share their stories with the world.”

Actor/comedian Michael Rapaport would like a word with Moore.

The “Atypical” alum is one of Israel’s staunchest Hollywood defenders. He has spent the last year-plus highlighting the plight of the hostages still being held by Hamas. He’s shamed Hollywood for ignoring the issue at various awards shows, including a scathing Oscar satire released last year.

What if Michael Rapaport hosted the Oscars

Rapaport couldn’t let Moore’s film go unchallenged.

The video in question features a series of clips where Hamas terrorists tortured and/or killed innocent Israelis on Oct. 7. Films like “Screams Before Silence,” mostly ignored by movie critics, covered similar, horrific territory.

Hollywood’s MeToo contingent mostly looked the other way following Hamas’ systematic rape and torture of Israeli women. Moore isn’t interest in making a film about those atrocities, apparently.

Rapaport wants him to learn about it all the same.

Here is the official description for “From Ground Zero.”

From Ground Zero was created by filmmaker Rashid Masharawi and designed to give a voice to the people of Gaza and to document their day-to-day experiences, many of which often go unheard by the outside world.

  1. There are no “Palestinian people” because Palestine is not and never has been a nation. In fact, up until the 1960s literally nobody who lived in the region called it “Palestine.” Here’s a kicker for you: There is no “p” sound in the Arabic language, nor is there a letter for “p”, except in modern Arabic, where it is used for words from other languages. “Palestine” is a Greek word, a name given to the region by Herodotus (famous ancient dead Greek guy, look him up). He made the name up, borrowing from the Pelests (known to the western world as “Philistines”), who were a Greek tribe who settled in the coastal area of Gaza (and built Gaza, Ashdod and Ashkelon). The Egyptians called them “the Sea People” because they invaded from the sea. They were not Arab, nor even Semitic. And they all died out some three-thousand years ago. Nobody today has Philistine DNA.

So the modern “Palestinian Arabs” are not actually from any native race, but rather Jordanian Arabs who largely entered the area in the 1900s. They have no ancient claim to the region at all. It was the Romans who “officially” named the region Palestine, aping Herodotus (whom they had read) rather than the Israel/Judah of the Bible (which they had not read). And they only gave it that name after the last Jewish Revolt, in an act of attempted genocide against the Jewish population— but nobody who lived in the region ever used the term.

The 20th century terrorist leader Yassir Arafat first used the word “Palestine” as an implied name for a nation (which did not exist) and a people (which did not exist). (Ironically, neither he nor his minions could pronounce the word— they start it with an aspirated “b” sound- “Bhalestine.”) The name was chosen on the recommendation of an American advertising agency who suggested it as a “sales” point to mislead gullible American donors into thinking they were backing a racial identity with an ancient claim. It was a lie. But it’s obviously worked. (Also, ironically, prior to the 1960s, the Arab population in the region insisted they were NOT “Palestinians” and that there was no “Palestine.” They considered the term insulting, a sign of British and Jewish domination. They said it was “Syria” (although it actually wasn’t— that, too, was a Roman designation).)

So Michael Moore is just yet another gullible leftie from the West who’s fallen for a trick put forth by an East Coast advertising agency. Maybe he should make screwball comedies— at least they’d be more honest.

  2. #palestine is a marxist construct and arab Nat’Cs, Civys included, are getting what they earned… including the support of ghouls like moore.

  3. A film that gives a voice to the people of Gaza.
OK. And well all know what they voice would say. Something that rhymes with Beth to the Poohs and something about God being great and Mohammad being his prophet peace be upon him.
