Jon Stewart Ignores His Critical Role in Biden Cover-Up
'Daily Show' host skewers Jake Tapper, sidesteps bigger issue in fiery rant
Jake Tapper may wish he stayed in bed today.
The CNN star is slated to appear on “The Megyn Kelly Show” this afternoon. The podcaster promises to skewer Tapper for helping hide President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
It could get ugly. It already has for Tapper.
The far-Left journalist took it on the chin last night, courtesy of Jon Stewart.

The liberal “Daily Show” host mocked Tapper for relentlessly plugging his new book, “Original Sin,” which details President Biden’s dementia-like state in shocking detail.
Now, it can be told.
Tapper played a supporting role in covering up Biden’s health woes, from attacking those who brought it up (like Lara Trump) to savaging the Wall Street Journal reporters who got the story right.

Tapper had it coming. So, too, does Stewart, except he’s pretending otherwise.
Late-night TV, along with “Saturday Night Live,” did all they could to hide Biden’s sad decline. Hosts like Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert and John Oliver either ignored the countless Biden gaffes or actively spun reality to pretend he was just an old man, not one battling a dementia-like condition.
Stewart is considered the dean of late-night political humor. And, on occasion, he puts his liberal blinders down to speak straight to his audience.
And yet he did very little of the kind when it came to Biden’s cognitive state.
He spoke about Biden Monday night, suggesting his decline wasn’t a state secret. Everyone knew, he claimed.
“If they came out and said, yeah, Biden knew about it five years ago, I wouldn’t be shocked. If they came out and said Biden found out on Friday, I wouldn’t be shocked. And I understand the excitement over an insidious Democratic coverup about Joe Biden’s mental decline. The thing is, though, it was a terrible coverup, because we all f***ing knew. All of us knew. There was no coverup. Poll after poll showed vast majorities of the public thought Biden was too old and too out of it to run again. … And that’s what’s so hilarious about politicians, the coverup doesn’t work when everyone knows you’re lying and everyone knows you’re lying, the tell is, when you’re so over-the-top about what you don’t want to tell the truth about.”
Yes, many people knew, no doubt. We have eyes and ears and saw all the clips where Biden essentially short-circuited before our eyes.
Not everyone knew.
Legacy Media collectively lied to the American public. So did Democrat after Democrat after Democrat. And millions took them at their word.
Imagine if the GOP did the same thing. Would Stewart respond with a shrug as he did last night?
The shocking cover-up is perfect fodder for a truth-telling satirist like Stewart. Yet he mostly avoided the subject over the past year-plus and hasn’t targeted those who propagated one of the biggest political lies in modern history.
Until now.
This week, Biden’s decline is on everyone’s lips – as is the tragic news of his prostate cancer.
Why now? It’s Clean-Up on Aisle 4 … there’s a mid-term election next year, and this must be dealt with and put back under the rug.
Stewart did bring up Biden’s age in recent months, but never with the ferocity the subject demanded.
This February 2024 clip is typical of his approach.
“Biden’s lost a step, but Trump regularly says things at rallies that would warrant a wellness check,” Stewart said to laughs last week. “The question then becomes, what the f‑‑‑ are we doing here, people?”
He got skewered by the Left for that monologue, and he retreated from focusing on Biden’s age issues.
Don’t kid yourself, Stewart. You were part of the problem all along.

If he showed any sense of distaste for his previous conduct, I’d be more than willing to forgive Jon Stewart. However, it seems clear he wants to, at best, have his cake and eat it too and, at worst, pass the buck.
Joe Biden worked with SEGREGATIONISTS to keep ME out of white schools. And while I do not “celebrate” his cancer, I’m not at all sorry about it. It reaffirms the bible! You REAP what you SOW. Cancer is the least of Biden’s problems. When he takes his last breath he’ll learn that HE WAS NEVER ANY KIND of CHRISTIAN. Not because of sins committed or even his racism, but rather because of his FAILURE to be BORN AGAIN BIBLICALLY. Stewart has a lot to answer for. First, as the article notes, his show was the template for lots of imitators who have done a lot of harm. He spawned the ever more desperate John Oliver, the corrupted Stephen Colbert, the late Trevor Noah, etc. and his success made it easier for Letterman and Kimmel to go as far left as they wanted. His brand of smarmy, slanted reductionism and half-truth masquerading as humor stupefied a generation, giving them the false impression that they were smart about stuff, when in fact they were massively ignorant, mal-, mis-, and uninformed, too foolish even to notice how obviously wrong they were. Very many have yet to recover.
Stewart sort of focus-tested a new approach when he observed out loud on Colbert’s show that Wuhan Viral COVID and the Wuhan Viral Lab were both named — Wuhan! He compared WuFlu to an outbreak of chocolate in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The audience laughed nervously; Colbert ducked, hid his face, averted his eyes; William of Ockham sent a congratulatory telegram from the 14th century.
Stewart’s previous loyalty to the cause and the then-lack of a show with his name on it allowed him to survive straying off the reservation in that way. But now even Jake Tapper has to admit (if you pay him $27) that BidenWorld is even worse than what everyone who wasn’t named Tommy or Helen Keller always knew that it was. So Stewart suddenly spots low hanging fruit, recognizes that DOGE on its first day uncovered enough material for a year of monologues, notes that even mediocrities like Maher are attracting right-wing eyeballs, and wants back in.

Jon is a TYPICAL DEMOcrat – a HYPOCRITE in every situation! I once had – HAD – a friend who would talk about the a subject in FULL AGREEMENT with me but then go 180 degrees in front of others and join them in mocking me! That didn’t last long – second time was the LAST time!
I’ve never thought Jon was all that “funny”. He’s “humorous” in that he mocks what he is against – to the delight and howls of a probably hand picked audience. He was part of the coverup so now he’s insisting that there WAS no coverup – EVERYONE knew!! I have an old Webster’s Dictionary somewhere – need to find it and make sure I understand the MEANING of “sharp as a tack”!!
