DHS Hammers Kim Kardashian Over Anti-ICE Screed

It’s easy to be a woke celebrity.

Just recite the progressive playbook and reap the rewards.

• Fawning media coverage
• Possible boost in employment
• And, most importantly, no one to press you on your beliefs

The latter is the most important part.

The stars routinely share progressive views without having to defend them. They do so during press interviews, on social media and, in recent years, via awards show galas.

Did anyone ask Leonardo Di Caprio about his eco-hypocrisy during this 2016 Climate Change screed? Of course not.

Legacy Media outlets refuse to fact check stars’ progressive opinions, even when they’re Fake News on steroids. Reporters simply nod along, eager to share their opinions without context or clarity.

Same side, after all.

So why wouldn’t Kim Kardashian lash out against President Donald Trump’s popular immigration policies? The reality show superstar recently raged against ICE officials arresting illegal immigrants, a group including those accused of serious crimes.

Think Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the margarita-swilling illegal immigrant facing a host of devastating charges.

Kardashian paid lip service to ICE agents arresting criminals before uncorking this gem on social media:

“…when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways [emphasis added], we have to speak up,” Kardashian wrote on social media. It’s not unlike similar messages from Demi Lovato, Longoria and Pedro Pascal.

This time, though, someone is firing back beyond right-leaning journalists.

Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin, for instance, took to her X account to reply to the reality show star. McLaughlin pointed out a number of criminals that ICE is deporting.

“@KimKardashian, which one of these convicted child molesters, murderers, drug traffickers and rapists would you like to stay in the county?”

The message featured the charges facing four illegal immigrants, all of whom are now in U.S. custody thanks to Team Trump. Team Biden couldn’t be bothered, apparently.

“These are just a few of the convicted illegal criminals who have been picked up in the last 72 hours.”

If Kardashian and friends had their way, those four (and many more) would still be out in the streets.

More importantly, McLaughlin is firing back at celebrities who think their virtue signals are doing good. They’re only hurting communities.

It’s one thing to argue that peaceful illegal immigrants should find a path to citizenship. That’s a reasonable argument to be made. Savaging ICE agents, particularly at a time when they’re literally under potentially deadly attack, is another.

Kanye West’s ex might be better served praising ICE agents for risking their lives to quell the ongoing mayhem inextricably tied to the anti-ICE agenda. A “Thank You” for removing violent criminals off the streets wouldn’t hurt, either.

If she did, she’d face a withering attack from the same press outlets praising her faux activism.
