‘Nobody Wants This’ Star Just Threw Israel Under the Bus
Adam Brody goes the Full Macklemore in shocking GQ interview
The fact that “Nobody Wants This” exists in pop culture in 2026 may be as subversive as it gets.
The Netflix rom-com follows a devoted Rabbi (Adam Brody) and his relationship with a secular “shiksa” (Kristen Bell). The series takes Judaism seriously, wringing warm humor from the cultural chasm between the leads.
It’s a hit, and Netflix is preparing the show’s third season as you read this.
Now, Brody is talking to the far-Left GQ magazine, and he made this stunning statement regarding Israel.
“Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine…It’s awful that it’s taken so much death and misery, but it does feel like it’s reaching a breaking point that it should have a while ago. I’m hopeful that another administration can really do some good and correct some of these policies that are helping that situation be as awful as it is.”
The man who plays the lovable Rabbi Noah Roklov incorrectly called Israel’s actions against Gaza a “genocide” and slammed Team Trump, the most pro-Israel administration in some time.
That’s a progressive Hollywood twofer. We’ll have to wait and see how the quotes go over with the show’s Jewish fan base.

It’s worth noting that, according to a good faith Google search, Brody said nothing about the Oct. 7 atrocities that killed more than a thousand innocent Jewish civilians and captured hundreds more.
Nor did he, like 99 percent of his peers, demand Hamas release the Jewish hostages during their two-year-long ordeal.
Now, he’s speaking out.
Why? We all know why. There is one allowable take on the Israel/Palestinian divide in Hollywood. We saw that with the reaction to the Macklemore imbroglio.
One opinion and one opinion only is allowed in Hollywood. And, since the Legacy Media holds the same ill-informed opinion, stars like Brody will never face tough questions about it.
The only mystery left? Will the writing team behind “Nobody Wants This” be bullied into including pro-Palestinian talking points in the show before season 3 airs?
