Jimmy Kimmel, Press Beclown Themselves Over ‘Democracy’ Lie
So-called truth teller covered up a dementia-addled president

He was the rodeo clown who dared to mock President Barack Obama and caught hell as a result. He faced death threats and suffered a lifetime ban from the Missouri State Fair.
Guess who didn’t speak up in his defense (besides President Obama)? Jimmy Kimmel.
Flash forward to 2025 and Sunday’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards presentation. Kimmel walked the red carpet at the event, and the press dutifully played into the false meme that President Donald Trump is censoring comedians.
Legacy Media outlets pounced and seized on that theme following CBS’s delayed cancellation of “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert. That’s despite a complete lack of evidence that Trump had anything to do with the move.
The president didn’t force CBS to lose $40 million annually on the far-Left talk show. Nor did he stop Paramount, the same company that canned Colbert, from shelling out $1.5 billion to the team behind “South Park.”
That show has been skewering all things Trump for week after week without any presidential punishments.
An unnamed reporter asked Kimmel what it feels like to defend democracy. It’s a terrible question based on a false narrative. But Kimmel, who is prone to sobbing when elections don’t go his way, took it seriously.
Very seriously.

“Those are heavy thoughts, and I have a tendency to reject them. I don’t necessarily feel like I’m defending democracy, but I do feel like I’m giving this guy a little poke and he deserves it and I love it and I love that people love it, too,” Kimmel told the journalist.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” routinely comes in third place behind both “The Late Show” and Fox News’ “Gutfeld!” on the late-night front.
Last year, Kimmel emceed a fundraiser for President Joe Biden, a world leader with obvious signs of dementia. Kimmel not only denied that sorry state of affairs but called those who accurately called it out liars.
