Hulk Actor Mark Ruffalo Shows True Colors at Climate Rally

Actor Mark Ruffalo thinks journalists shouldn’t ask tough but fair questions if the cause is just and true.

The “Avengers” star led the celebrity contingent, along with Leonardo DiCaprio, at Sunday’s Peoples Climate March. If you read about the event in any mainstream or entertainment press outlet, you probably gleaned the rally’s climate change message without a whiff of criticism or opposing views.

Ignore climate change and the planet is doomed.

Yet some of the celebrities on hand, including Sting and Leonardo DiCaprio, have massive carbon footprints. Isn’t that worth exploring, how the people demanding we rely less on fossil fuels live in direct opposite of that mantra?

ClimateDepot.com did just that, and got this reaction from Ruffalo:

“Oh brother. That is a question you shouldn’t be asking here today because that defies the spirit of what this is about,” Ruffalo told Climate Depot … “Anyone who attacks Leonardo DiCaprio is either a coward or an ideologue,” he added.

Michael Moore routinely attacks capitalism but owns nine homes. DiCaprio spreads the message about reducing our carbon footprint but spends his leisure time on massive yachts and private plane trips.

The press used to challenge these hypocrisies. Today, it’s up to new media outlets to do the heavy lifting. And, at times, anger celebrities not expecting tough but fair questions.

  1. Ruffello is a tool of the left and a mediocre actor at best. As for Leo, all his performances are imitations, take the costume away and he’s got no soul to his characters, like himself.
