Streaming fans can start 2015 with new mysteries to be cracked by Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle.

Acorn TV will be the exclusive U.S. home to new “Foyle’s War” episodes starting Feb. 2, 2015. The British series starring Michael Kitchen as Foyle and Honeysuckle Weeks as his sidekick Sam Wainwright returns stateside with three feature-length mysteries.

The new installments, all based on real events at the dawn of the Cold War, examine American and German businesses accused of aiding Hitler’s war machine as well as the state of Israel’s creation.

John Mahoney of “Frasier” fame is among the new season’s guests.

The three new mysteries in Season 8 (known as Series 9 in the U.K.) will be added on Feb. 2, Feb. 9 and Feb. 16. After that date, all eight seasons of “Foyle’s War” will be available on Acorn TV.
