FLASHBACK: Lady Gaga Joins Biden for MeToo PSA

Does the pop superstar regret choosing a man credibly accused of sexual assault?

Hollywood loves nothing more than teaming with politicians to send a message.

Stars spent eight full years coordinating with the Obama administration on everything from volunteerism to the calamitous ObamaCare rollout.

That sense of unity disappeared like so many Thanos victims once a Republican entered the White House in 2017.

Still, perhaps the most jaw-dropping partnership from the Obama years had nothing to do with the President himself. Pop singer Lady Gaga teamed with Vice President Joe Biden for a PSA and campaign about sexual abuse.

Joe Biden And Lady Gaga Join Forces To Send An Important Message About Sexual Assault

“Lady Gaga has been the voice for people who have been forgotten and people who have been abused … Well it happened to her. She’s shown enormous courage. And we want to make it real clear. It’s on us, it’s on everyone to intervene — to stop abuse when they see it and when they hear about it, to intervene. No man has a right to raise a hand to a woman for any reason other than self-defense. Ever. Period.”

Tara Reade has something to say about that.

Rising exclusive: Joe Biden accuser Tara Reade speaks out

Reade is the ex-Biden staffer who credibly claims Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993. She’s spent years trying to get someone, anyone, to hear her allegations. Recently, she broke her silence and found the legal group engineered for women like her turning a cold shoulder to her claims.

Lady Gaga’s choice of politicians seemed odd long before Reade’s allegations surfaced. We’ve already seen numerous images, and video clips, of Biden acting inappropriately with women.

The sniffing. The kissing. The prolonged clutches.

Lady Gaga went ahead with her curious partnership anyway. What about now?

Has Lady Gaga said anything about the Biden allegations? Fellow #MeToo warrior Alyssa Milano stayed silent for more than a week before offering up an implausible rationale for her silence.

Lady Gaga hasn’t even done that much. Nor has the vast majority of stars, even those who couldn’t stop discussing the need for the #MeToo revolution following producer Harvey Weinstein’s epic downfall.

“Charmed” alum Rose McGowan may be the only progressive actor calling out both Milano and the media’s hypocrisy on the latest Biden allegations.

When the then-Vice President appeared at the 2016 Oscars ceremony to discuss sexual abuse, the tony crowd gave him a standing ovation.

Now, only McGowan is standing up for Biden’s victims.
